THE LULL (2008/2010)

Matt Warren The Lull  Matt Warren The Lull detail

Numerous 'stars' made from LED lights. There are 5 larger lights making up the "Southern Cross"
constellation (also known as Crux) as seen over the skies of Australasia.

Original conceived and produced whilst based in Montreal, Canada in 2008. A meditative work that attempts
to bring elements (elemental) normally unseen to another part of the world, an elusive piece of another hemisphere.
The 50hz electrical hum is not usually heard in North America as the system is 60hz.
Having the two travel across the stereo spectrum, is not only aesthetically 'lulling' and meditative,
it also represents travel.

The above images document the version shown at 6a ARI in North Hobart, Australia in February/March 2010

Below is a video documenting the version shown at 'Squeezbox'/Auberge Alternative in Montreal, Canada  in April 2008.
